What do our students find?

Our teachers are devoted to providing your child with the tools necessary to develop to their full capacity. We believe in an education without limits, and our Montessori method offers just that. As a faith baith school, we work hard to put together a curriculum that is complete, and fits each child accordingly. Our Legacy staff not only focuses in the 5 Montessori areas, but also in integrating extra curricular lessons that can enhance their learning even more!

Cultural

Cultural Activities are a specific extension of the language curriculum where children begin to acquire a sense of historical fact, classification of physical geography and an appreciation of cultural differences. This may also include science, zoology, history, music and art.

Practical Life

Practical Life is the study of self-help skills and focuses on the four major areas, Care of Self, Care of Environment, Grace and Courtesy, and Movement.

Sensorial

Sensorial uses a multi-sensory approach to education. Children are encouraged to learn by processing information gathered through the senses. This may all be implemented through Colors, shapes, textures, weights, dimension, discrimination and distinguishing between smells, taste and sound.

Math

Math continues the cognitive math development that began in the Practical Life Skills and Sensorial curriculum, taking an acute focus and more abstract thinking process with concrete materials. We can see this through Numbers, quantities, counting, addition, subtraction, decimal system, multiplication and division.

Language

Language is a vital part of growth. Our lesson plans are prepared in a unique way,and although English is our main language we are a bilingual school which has Spanish as a second phase. We also strive to familiarize our students with foriegn wording on a daily basis. This will help them develop their vocabulary and embrace the world without fear.

Extra Curricular Activities

Throughout the school year, we provide several extracurricular activities such as: Music fundamentals, Art courses, self defense, practical life runway course and ethics runway course. Our school has also designated several days to foster a healthy community between family and friends. These activities may include: Carnivals, field days, prayer days, display your work days.
